practising eucharistic love

do this in REMEMBRANCE of me

Jesus taught that the mark of true discipleship is when we “have love one for another”. This means we need to become practiced in bearing with and forgiving one another as we share a common life in Christ. We value being in relationship over and above being “right”.

Our open communion table is the centrepiece of our shared life together. Through this single sacramental act we leave behind the individualised identities that culture so readily fashions for us, and we instead lean into our true nature as one body in Christ. This is the mystery of eucharistic love, and it takes practice.

My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.
